This I did not know [and will have to read more about], but we've been restricting the planting of fruits and vegetables while we've been encouraging and promoting -- and paying good money for -- the production [and consumption] of high-fructose corn syrup.
I've been spouting this line for years, based entirely on anecdotal evidence [mine, from reading food labels in the grocery stores], but now I know I'm not the only one.

Hmm, so our agricultural sector needs more fiber too. That's so not a surprise.
(Will think about your dirty homework assignment in the week if I've got time. Anticipating a little less room for distraction in the upcoming several days.)

you're not obligated to do any homework, i promise. i'm not doing much right now, and when i do, i keep flying off on tangents. i love the web, but it's contributing to the downfall of my already-limited ability to focus.
I suppose you've been slacking on those big assignments too. So we're even. I've pretty much got my lunchbreaks this week is all, and hopeful to somehow keep up with the book club, post some reviews, etc. It's like a job, but one I enjoy.
(But god forbid if the size of the Massachusetts dot shrinks to resemble all the other ones.)
