Whew! read 'em all! I feel much the same as I feel when I accidentally buy a used and abused paperback mystery and begin reading, only to discover 9/10 of the way through that a chapter's worth of pages near the end have fallen out.

If this turns out to be for real, we should all feel shame on behalf of those among us who seem incapable of feeling shame. And we should prepare to begin settling righteous lawsuits...

last chapter is up.

i read one of john d macdonald's travis mcgee books kind of like this. somebody bought the hardback, ripped out chapter 1 and mailed it to one of my housemates, who read it and then passed it around the rest of the house. this way we could justify not waiting for the paperback to come out, since we could spread the costs over at least 2 households. ah, bright college days.

righteous lawsuits indeed, if true.
