you would be surprised... i mean, it dissolved his biochemisry pretty thoroughly.

actually, i started off as a hard-core physical chemist, but had a desireable and interesting job in an obscure junction of biogeochemistry/oceanography waiting for me after graduation if i changed my focus. the funding only lasted a few years, and nowadays what i do is way far removed from anything i did back then, but i'm still glad i did it.

and yeah, we're still mostly just a danger to ourselves.
