i've had dogs that have snarfed down worse things, but yeah, that really would be a mean trick to play on one's best friend.
liver tea...
one of the many medicines i've had to take over the years ws a horrible horrible-tasting liquid. we have finally hit the big time and have a compounding pharmacy here now, the kind that will make up prescriptions more or less from scratch, where applicable. i'd heard about them at the dog park, since they were rapidly becoming famous for making up medicines that pets would [mostly] willingly take. this cheered me no end to learn about, and i bebopped on over there, new prescription in hand, and asked if they could make it up in liver flavor for me, since i do actually like liver and couldn't think of anything else strong anough to cover the taste of the medicine. they were horrified, and put some effort into talking me out of my choice, so we went through the dozens of flavors they had and settled on very strong coffee, which turned out to be less bad than i had expected.

I hope s/he doesn't mistake the thing on the forehead for a dog biscuit, to be flipped and chomped...
