i love mice, but not living in the house with me [i tell myself they're just mice in the walls, i haven't seen them, but the ones out at the dumpster and in the woods are rats].
My cats love mice. They love picking them up and throwing them over their head. They love batting mice around with their paws. They will happily play with a mouse for hours. Luckily, the only mice they have access to are catnip mice.
My previous pair of cats, however, lived on a farm. And they did exactly what I describe above with real mice. Who are quite a bit noisier while dying :-(.

fortunately [or unfortunately, take your pick] i once had a cat who loved palmetto bugs in that way. at least you can't hear them scream.
