The "puppy ad" was supposed to the the "scary" result of voting for John Kerry, and the wolf pack that was displayed was playing in the snow, jumping and pretend fighting like any group of puppies.
Unless things are really bad, wolves will definitely avoid people. They have wolves in Alaska, but moose are the danger.
i knew it distantly rang a bell. iirc, i was working two jobs at the time, trying to make ends meet. not much time for political anything, other than knowing for sure i wasn't going to vote for the republican.
i'm not especially worried about wolves vs people, i was thinking about livestock owners as one example, though there are solutions that don't involve killing the wolves.

"It was uphill, both ways, and the wolves were as big as horses."
i'd never the wolves part of it before. learn something new every day.
The wolves were killed off before most of the kids were born, and they are learning the truth about wolves, so it's not very scary these days.
You do remember the Republican "puppy" ad?
i sorta kinda remember that maybe there was a republican puppy ad, but if so, i missed it.
i'm thrilled with the efforts to bring back the wolves, though i admit that's easy for me to say, since i don't live in wolf country.
