i was saying that i'm getting excited about the primaries...a part of me thinks it's irrational, cuz most of me has lost hope for our country.
but the fact that i am excited tells me that a wee part of me believes that there's still a chance we'll survive the fascists who've taken her from us.
on the drive home from work i kept repeating to myself remembertovote remembertovote remembertovote remembertovote remembertovote remembertovote remembertovote. would have been awfully embarrassing to go straight home, throw myself on the sofa, drape myself in cats, and suddenly remember at 7:05pm what day it was.
fun story! thanks for brightening my day a little bit, though the black cloud of edwards' withdrawal from the race is going to take some major shifting.

i almost forgot to vote one year. i stopped cooking. turned off the stove, and stuck everything in the fridge. i put a note on the table: gone voting.
my husband was slaving over the stove when i got back. (he'd voted on his lunch hour.)
we were voting against each other's candidates, too. so it was a good laugh for both of us.
