Somehow, I'm not going to fault them for spending 15 or even 150 bucks at Mall-Wart. I mean, maybe they needed some of those religious books to hand out to staff...
I stopped shopping at Wal-Mart about 10 years ago in response to some of their maltreatment of workers. I have not bought anything there... I haven't even entered a Wal-Mart... since that time.
Check out Dave Lippman's song, I Hate Wal-Mart. Lippman is superb as a satirical political songwriter.
People do what they must. In Livingston, TX, where my late parents lived, Wal-Mart drove the local stores out of business, leaving consumers very little choice. And for some people, the difference in price, small though it may be, may demand that they shop at Wal-Mart, even if it's bad for prices and wages in the long run. I do not fault people who shop there.
But "dead janitor" policies and employees locked in at night who died during a fire were more than I could bear. Union-busting isn't the half of it.

i go to walmart for the cat litter, but only because it's so hard to find fragrance-free cat litter.
i'm not going to fault anybody for spending a few bucks there either.
