Back in March of 2007 John Edwards pledged to make his campaign carbon neutral. I'm a bit skeptical of some of the schemes that have been put forth for achieving carbon neutrality, but I can't fault Edwards for putting his money where his tailpipe is: he's reported spending nearly $22,000 in carbon offsets so far [through Sept 30, 2007].

You'll note that Chris Dodd was the only other candidate who did this.

If half the candidates would keep their campaigns methane-neutral, I'd be a happy camper.
