hipparchia: for what it's worth I don't dispense. :)
I might say a prayer over the herb so you can exercise your first amendment right to use it, though.
Baruch Atah Adonai Elohenu Melech Ha'Olam Borei Peri Ha'Cannabis Etz Chaim. Blessed Art Thou Lord Our God King of the Universe Creator of Cannabis the Tree of Life.
:) i didn't think you did. it's your tireless advocacy that i was thinking of.
and thanks for the prayer.
fwiw, i don't partake, having tried it a few times and not really liked the effects. but if it came down to that or losing my brain, i'd happily endure the side effects of thc. they're not anywhere near as bad as some of the side effects i've had from legal drugs that i've been prescribed.
It would be beneficial even as a tea, or combined with warm milk and honey, without perhaps giving you the effects you disliked. I'm not saying you should or shouldn't, just that it seems to be neuroprotective.

That hurts just watching it!

Thanks for the Alzheimer's link. My mother died of it many years ago, and I maintain an interest. One might even call it a self-interest.
Of course there's this:

Cannabis may treat and even prevent Alzheimer's disease.
pol: i'm with you. i've got a headache and whiplash just from watching.
steve: yep, several people in my family have a self-interest in the subject too. we may all have to call on whig for help with medication.
whig: although i haven't posted on it to speak of, i'm always grateful for your links. thanks.

You may now partake freely.

warm milk, cream of wheat, oatmeal, etc: they're an axis of evil unto themselves. herbal teas, otoh, are my friends. i'll consider this option.
