I haven't been keeping up --- it already happened --- but you can read about it here.

Thanks for the link. I began reading his book about a week ago in a bookstore while waiting for Stella; I look forward to seeing it on library shelves so I can finish it. The first 1-1/2 chapters are excellent.

my library has it on order. i'm on their waiting list. meanwhile, i snagged assault on reason and a few others that have been on my list, so i don't mind waiting a couple of weeks.

The Assault on Reason suffers from Gore's rather professorial style only until you get drawn into the content. Then it's compelling to the end. I was vaguely disappointed in his proposed solutions, but I suspect that my outlook is not Gore's fault. :)

I'm taking a fact break... I guess some of the righties may be said to do that in a different sense; I mean I'm reading fiction for a while... starting with an old compilation someone made of all of Christie's Poirot short stories. I've read many of them before, but inevitably missed a few along the way. Good stuff. Oh, and a book of Robert Service poems illustrated with funky old photos from the Gold Rush; can you tell he's an influence on some of my past doggerel?
