Well, ain't nobody perfect. If the kittens are diluting your dark side, Alex must be diluting my good side: Nick's Bytes is 36% evil.

I'm 28% evil. I assume it's the Y chromosome.

I"m an evil witch - 51% evil, in fact.

hey catnapping! awesome! you have the power! do you need some familiars? i've got 6 all-black kittens i could send you in a few weeks. :-)

that reminds me of that sign/t-shirt/bumper sticker 51% sweetheart, 49% bitch. some of my colleagues years ago bought one of those signs and put it on my desk. i laughed, because it was sorta the truth. a few days later, someone had taken a sharpie to it, marking out the the 5 and changing the 4 to a 9 so that the sign read 1% sweetheart, 99% bitch. ouch [though true, at the time].

arch, you're saying that it's your y chromosome that makes you 1% more evil than me?

ps. i haven't forgotten that cats-eat-birds paper, but it's taking a backseat to politics and healthcare. you don't have a student who needs an independent project do ya? you could assign them the task of debunking that paper. i'd be happy to make some suggestions on what parts of it i'd like to see attacked.

People who experimented with this site a few months ago found that it bases its assessment entirely on some sort of word list applied to a site's main page only. My main page is a frameset, no content at all, so I was effectively 0 percent evil and 0 percent good. Applying it to my current main page at the time gave a similarly mealy-mouthed percentage. Their methodology could stand some improvement!

That's exactly what I was saying.

Rather than debunking that paper, I'd rather rebunk it, so maybe I could convince people to keep their cats inside. I mean, what's the point in having a cat unless it's nearby where you can enjoy it 24/7? Plus, you don't want your cat to come up and give you a lick on the nose right after it's eaten a mouse--right?

one can never have too many black cats...

someday, i'm gonna live in a house with dozens of cats, all neutered and spayed, of course. i'll spend thousands on cat food and kitty litter, and i'll go on dates smelling like catnip.

someday i'm going to arrange it so that i never have to deal with kitty litter again, but i'm on board with the rest of your program especially the part about black cats.

i'm sure catnip is an aphrodisiac. if it's not, it should be.
