Curmudgeon cat has a lovely color. Then again, I'm a bit like Fat Freddy of the old Fat Freddy's Cat strip in the 60s: any orange cat will do...
Most people I've met who own both dogs and cats seem annoyed that cats do not pay attention to one's priceless pronouncements very well. I find that a positive characteristic, and am always glad to encounter people who behave like cats... one can say literally anything to them. :)
curmudgeon cat is pushing 14-15, in both pounds and years. he is his own sleeper sofa.
you're probably right about ebay. i expect any day now to come home from work and find cases of canned tripe on the front porch.
steve,
you and cc are brothers under the skin: irl he's more yellow than orange, and he's really a dog in a cat suit. it could be that instead of ebaying, he too is writing a doggerel blog somewhere. either way, he's not admitting to anything.
i'm thrilled that you and alex are re-united. i haven't been getting out and about much lately in the blogosphere, and my other blog has been out to lunch for awhile now, but i did go over and lurk at your place quite a bit until i knew that you and alex were safe again.
curmudgeon cat thanks you for the compliment [actually, being a cat, he deigns to accept the praise he feels is his due].
this is the cat i was telling you about whose preferred prey species are cars on the highway and rottweilers in the front yard. mice are beneath his notice.
it's the kittens who are preying on my mouses. the one in the photo is about the third one in recent weeks.

Curmudgeon is waiting for you to leave before checking on the status of EBay bids.
Surprisingly calm with kittens all about.

cc hits you with his +5 sofa cushion.
Curmudgeon reminds me of Alex, the cat who owns me, not in looks but that Alex usually ignores me unless he wants something.
nick! good to see you!

That is one handsome beast. (I'd do a "mouse" joke here, but it seems too obvious.)
